While working as Budtender, Keyholder, and Designer at Marina Greens, I held many responsibilities. Some of these daily contributions included:

  • Researching industry trends, products, and brands to better inform customers and design decisions
  • Designing digital and print marketing materials to distinguish the dispensary from competition

Coming into a new business with no branding, I found inspiration in the dispenary's most unique aspect; it's location. MGCD occupies the upstairs unit of a classic victorian, and much of the building's original architecture and flourishes remain. Stained glass, iron chandeliers, and ornate crown mouldings decorate the interior. I sought to reference and replicate these aesthetics in it's branding.
In true victorian fashion, the flourishes usually featured flowers, vines, and leaves. After photographing and sketching these accents, one wall cornice stood out in partiular. It became the primary frame for the materials I'd create.
