Future portraits is a series of collages where each portait, created via acetone transfer, is a hybrid of features of my family members. As a masculine queer person, this project was an exploration of the many ways black queerness presents itself.

The goal for each portrait was to add and subtract my family's features until it’s difficult to decipher where my image ends, and theirs begins.

Since this was my first time creating solvent transfers, I tested multiple solvents, application techniques, and image qualities.
